Spanda Circle
A gathering series for movement, meditation, and holistic wellbeing—offered in person, with a virtual option.
Spanda: the vibration at the center of life
“Spanda” is a Sanskrit term often translated as the subtle pulse of existence—the natural rhythm of expansion and contraction that shapes all living things. You can think of it as the interplay between activity and rest, effort and ease, expression and reflection.
Walt Whitman once wrote, “I contain multitudes,” capturing the essence of this idea: we are never just one thing. We move through cycles. We shift, evolve, and adapt. This gentle oscillation—this vibrant pulse—is present in our bodies, our breath, our emotions, and our experiences. It is the quiet hum that keeps us connected to ourselves and to the world around us.
About Spanda Circle
Spanda Circle was created as a welcoming space for people to reconnect with their natural rhythms through guided movement, meditation, and shared reflection. It emerged in a moment when individuals and communities were facing heightened uncertainty, stress, and disconnection—and recognized a need for simple yet powerful practices that restore balance.
The gatherings are rooted in the understanding that wellbeing is both personal and collective. When we slow down enough to notice our own internal pulse—our energy, intentions, and needs—we are better able to show up for our work, our relationships, and our communities.
While the term “Spanda” has origins in ancient philosophical traditions, Spanda Circle focuses on the universally accessible aspects of the concept: presence, awareness, creativity, inner steadiness, and connection.
What We Practice
Spanda Circle offers a blend of:
Movement to awaken energy and reconnect with the body
Meditation to cultivate presence and clarity
Breathwork to regulate the nervous system
Dialogue and reflection to integrate insights
Restorative practices and rituals that support recovery and calm
Each gathering explores both creative expansion and quiet restoration—the two complementary qualities that help us move through life with resilience and intention.
Whether attending in person or joining virtually, participants are invited into an environment that prioritizes accessibility, inclusivity, and personal agency. All levels of experience are welcome.
Our Vision
Spanda Circle exists to support individuals and groups in reconnecting with the natural pulse that guides wellbeing. Through shared practice, we explore what it means to move fluidly between action and rest, expression and introspection.
Our intention is to create a space where people can:
Reclaim their sense of grounding
Build inner awareness
Release limiting beliefs and patterns
Strengthen connection with themselves and others
Experience the simple yet profound effects of mindful movement and stillness
By honoring both the active and the restful aspects of life, Spanda Circle encourages participants to live with greater clarity, creativity, and compassion—personally and collectively.
